Wasing Patience

At the same time I wish to
express our waning patience
with members of the Cavalier
Daily
staff. A tremendous
amount of time, effort, and
money has gone into the
construction of these boxes,
and yet the CD staff
apparently feels this fact
merits little importance.
CFOE has been trying since
before Christmas to obtain an
article and picture on our
activities, and we have been
told repeatedly that one would
appear.

CFOE was granted $675
from Student Council for our
projects this year. Some of this
money (students' money) has
gone for these boxes, and the
crucial factor is that unless
certain conditions are met,
these boxes will be removed
completely.

A few weeks ago CFOE
held a box-building marathon,
at which time three of the box
receptacles were entirely built,
painted, and distributed
around the Grounds. We now
have five boxes up, located
conveniently for students and
for Mr. Coiner, who collects
the paper. At this Saturday
marathon some students spent
as many as ten consecutive
hours working on these boxes,
and that does not include time
spent preparation, planning,
and buying the materials.
