[An herald from the King of kings]

Good tidings . . . which shall be to all people. —ii. 10.

An herald from the King of kings
He comes our guilty fears to chase,
Good tidings of great joy He brings,
Great joy to Adam's favour'd race;
Not one of all our ransom'd kind
But may the gospel-grace receive,
Born in himself his Saviour find,
And one with his Creator live.
