1167.
[Cæsar his own dignity]
There went out a decree from Cæsar.
—ii. 1.
Cæsar his own dignity

To serve sublimer ends:
Lo, He comes, the King foretold,
He comes o'er all mankind to reign,
God's eternal Son enroll'd
A new-born child of man!
