143 Contrary to the Prayer of the Apostles, Luk. 17. 5.
The multiplicitie of beliefes in our dayes, doth rather require this prayer.
Decrease our Faiths, Lord, 'tis increast too farre:
As many men, so many Faithes there are;
And each one dotes on his fond Misteres,
Neuer more faiths, nor more vnfaithfulnes.
