CHAPTER I. The poetical works of John and Charles Wesley | ||
1143.
[The great Angel of the Lord]
There appeared unto him an angel of the Lord, &c.
—i. 11.
The great Angel of the Lord
Attends invisible,
Ready to apply His word,
His ordinance to seal;
To the majesty of God
Presents His people's sacrifice
Mix'd with the atoning blood,
And fragrant through the skies.
