A Riddle
Johnny looked down in the spring, one night,And saw, reflected, a dipper;
The handle crooked, the bottom out,
Yet floating as trim as a clipper.
It wasn't broken; 'twas good as new;
Yes, fit for a monarch's daughter.
“Ho! you're a funny old dipper!” said John;
“You can't hold a drop of water.”
