Business and personal papers of Launcelot
Minor and his family of Pedlar Mills, Amherst
County. An 1838-87
farm ledger has information on slaves, especially birth dates, and on
sharecropping by freedmen after the war. Bible records note slave births and
deaths, and there is a daguerreotype of a female slave.
