Meditat. 28.

Why am I thus tormented with the rod
Of my afflictions? Hath my angry God
Forgot his creature? Shall I never have
A little ease, but be afflictions slave?
Forbear, my grumbling Soul, cheer up, and be
Mindful of him, and he'l remember thee.
