THE FUTURE.
(A FRAGMENT.)
Perchance in that mysterious landA race unutterably grand
Beholds all earthly evils planned,
All crimes, all woes unmerited. ...
Perchance through ages big with doom,
In calm, in patience and in gloom,
Waits the white godlike race by whom
Our world shall be inherited!
