What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the, &c. —viii. 36.

Ere the righteous Judge appear,
Sinner, count thy mournful gains,
Momentary pleasures here
Purchased with eternal pains!
When Thy soul its body leaves,
Where is its felicity?
When the pit thy soul receives,
What is all the world to thee?
