[Yes, by faith's enlighten'd eye]

Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing, &c. —vii. 18, 19.

Yes, by faith's enlighten'd eye
We corruption's fountain see,
For relief to Christ apply,
Bring our evil hearts to Thee:
Jesus, Thou to us hast shown
All this filth of inbred sin,
Heal the plague through which we groan,
Cleanse the house by entering in.
