The Bible? No; but a blind ould party
By the name o' Milton—blind, but hearty;
Gor . an eye inside of him theer,
Somewhere or another, an eye that clear
It could split the bottom of darkness in two,
And hev . a view, aw, he'd hev a view,
Fuss-rate, would Milton; aw, he wudn' fail!
But the Bible— But the Pazon was thinkin' a dale
Of this Milton, and the grand he wrote—
A pote, ye know, of coorse, a pote.
But still, for all—a pote, yis, yis!
But somethin' about it in Genesis.
