890.

[Who sends His servants forth by pairs]

And began to send them forth by two and two, &c. —vi. 7.

Who sends His servants forth by pairs,
To make His power and goodness known,
Thus to their successors declares
That two are better far than one,
And wills the preachers in His name
To think, and speak, and live the same.
The force of unity Divine
Nor men nor devils can oppose;
If Jesus' love our spirits join,
We trample on our hellish foes,
And spoil Abaddon of his crown,
And turn his kingdom upside down.
