CHAPTER V. The poetical works of John and Charles Wesley | ||
882.
[Still the faithless world deride]
They laughed Him to scorn.
—v. 40.
Still the faithless world deride
Jesus and His witnesses,
Us who in His power confide
In His love the dead to raise:
Still their mockings we despise,
Daily, Lord, Thy wonders see,
Souls who from their sins arise
Quicken'd by a word from Thee.
