CHAPTER IV. The poetical works of John and Charles Wesley | ||
847.
[Truth never shuns the light]
There is nothing hid, which shall not be, &c.
—iv. 22.

The light it loves and spreads:
But well the conscious sons of night
May hide their wicked deeds—
Till that eternal day
Their works and hearts reveal,
And all the secret good display
Which humble saints conceal.
