THE RESURRECTION.
Hark to the trumpet's sound!
It rends the vaulted skies!
As by a peal of thunder
The graves are burst asunder,
And from their depths profound
The dead awake and rise!
It rends the vaulted skies!
As by a peal of thunder
The graves are burst asunder,
And from their depths profound
The dead awake and rise!
For Death is conquered now:—
The Grave's last victory won;—
That trumpet's thrilling token
Proclaims their power broken;
And triumph crowns the brow
Of God's redeeming Son!
The Grave's last victory won;—
That trumpet's thrilling token
Proclaims their power broken;
And triumph crowns the brow
Of God's redeeming Son!
