What are those houses doing in a row?
What is it that makes everything so queer?
Was it a dream of mine, or was it here
Van Amburgh used to come so long ago?—

When was it, then, the place was all arrayed
With tents and elephants and lemonade,
Lifting-machines, freaks, peanuts, and pop-beer?
