Bernardino In Nationals

Mark Bernardino finished
third, and his time of 16:38.2
qualified him for the NCAA
meet in Knoxville, Tenn.,
March 22, 23 and 24. It is the
second trip to the Nationals in
three years for Bernardino.

Raburn won the 100 free in
47.7, leading a 1-2-3-4 State
sweep. Richard Carter won the
200 backstroke in 1:58.6.
Rollins was seventh. Hermes
finished his excellent meet by
winning the 200 breaststroke in
2:15.1. Bedell was tenth.

State's divers repeated their
one-meter diving sweep in the
three-meter event, taking the
top four places. State's
freestyle relay completed the
Wolfpack's outstanding
performance by coming from
behind to nip Maryland in
3:11.2.
