Little Ball Control

The Cavaliers had the statistics
edge in every area but ball control.
While only controlling the ball for
no more than twenty-five of the
sixty-eight minutes played, Virginia
outshot Hopkins 42-33 and had a
56-44 ground ball advantage for the
game. Indicative of Hopkins'
slow-down style of play, Cavalier
goalie Al Hirsh and Blue Jay goalie
Tom Dauses each had eleven saves
despite Virginia's nine shot
advantage.
