PREFACE.
When the following Poem was penned, it was not the intention of the author to present it to the public in a printed form; but having been repeatedly urged to do so by those who have heard it, he has at length thought proper to yield to their solicitations, with the hope of doing some little good in the cause of truth and humanity.
