This is what the attic of Cabell Hall looked like yesterday after fire devastated it and damaged the fifth floor of the main classroom building Monday afternoon. University officials estimated the fire and water damage at $50,000. Medical students yesterday attempted to sift through the remains of the papers to see what information could be salvaged. The attic was used as a storage area for medical records and x-ray plates.
