Competing candidates involved in the elections today and tomorrow met last night with students in Webb lounge from 7 to 9 p.m. to discuss their platforms. Although the turnout was not great, Elections Committee Chairman Paul Freeman called the informal reception a "step in the right direction." Sponsored by the Elections Committee, this is the first time such a meeting was held. It afforded a chance for students to communicate personally with the candidates and express their sentiments concerning Council's role.
