755.
[Saviour, let Thy dying love]
The earth did quake, and the rocks rent.
—xxvii. 51.
Saviour, let Thy dying love
Its virtue still exert,
Earth to its foundations move,
And break the rocky heart:
Sinners by Thy passion shake,
The most obdurate spirits rent,
By Thy death the dead awake,
And bid the world repent.
