Two dear friends sat down to tea;And both were sleek and fair to see.

All went well until one spiedGreat danger near. “Oh, look!” she cried.

A furious, uninvited beastWas rushing madly to the feast.

Quick as a flash they trapped the foe,Then tied him fast, and bade him “Go!”

Then safely from a tall tree nearThey saw him madly disappear.
