Lychnos Meeting

Mrs. Virginius R. Shackelford,
Jr., will address the
Lychnos Society at its annual
banquet tomorrow evening. The
social hour and society initiation
will be held in the Colonnade
Club and the 7 p.m.
banquet will be in the Commonwealth
Room of Newcomb Hall.

Mrs. Shackelford, the former
Carroll Kem, is the daughter of
a former Missouri senator. She
attended the French Institute of
Notre Dame de Sion in Kansas
City and Vassar College. She
received an LLB from the
University in 1964. Presently,
Mrs. Shackelford is practicing
law in Culpeper while serving on
the Virginia State Library
