Fons Lachrymarum or a fountain of tears: From whence doth flow Englands Complaint, Jeremiahs Lamentations paraphras'd with Divine Meditations and an elegy Upon that Son of Valor Sir Charles Lucas. Written by John Quarles |

Meditat. 24.
Despair not, when affliction ploughs the ground,Doubt not encreases, if the seed be found:
Heav'n loves a fruitful harvest, and his hand
Is always active to manure the Land;
He takes the chiefest care, the greatest pains,
He crowns the work, 'tis we that reap the gains.
