New Epigrams, and a Satyre | ||
40. To Verinus a Tobacco taker.
When first I saw the Chimney of thy noseVent smoke so fast, I then began t'suppose,
Thy Stomacke all on fire, which I to quench,
Made hast, and was halfe poysoned with the stench;
Then blame me not, if that I tak't in snuffe,
Thou should'st requite my loue with stinking stuff.
