ATHLETIC TUTORING NOW AVAILABLE —

Director of Athletics Steve Sebo has announced the
expansion of the Athletic Department's tutorial program. Now any student connected in any way
with the Department is eligible for free tutoring. Pictured above are members of last year's football
team being helped with quantum theory.

THEY'LL TRY ANYTHING —

After this fall's disappointing 3-7 football season the powers that be
in University Hall figured that they just weren't doing something right. Regular church attendance,
haircuts, jock dorms all were the answer it seemed for a winning football team. Pictured above is
Mr. Blackburn putting his boys through their paces in wind sprints Saturday during practice,
looking forward to this weekend's alumni game.

FORMER STUDENT HONORED —

The sports staff of The Daily
Cavalier is pleased to announce the awarding of its coveted school
spirit award to Muncie Freen of Richmond. Mr. Freen was a
student at the University for two years, until he got married in
early September. Putting off his honeymoon for three months so
he could attend every Virginia football game he exhibited spirit
above and beyond the call of duty and to him we award the Great
White Wahoo Award of 1969-70.
