DO THE DEAD THINK OF THE LIVING

DO the dead think of the living,
In the blue Heaven overhead,
All repenting, all forgiving,
As the living of the dead?
Yes, but while we weep, surveying
Pathways long and lonely feet,
They in Heaven smile softly, saying,
‘'Tis to-morrow and we meet!’
