SAPHO TO PHAON.
BY A SCOTCHMAN.
“FERVIDUM INGENIUM SCOTORUM.”
THE snows (no longer virgin snows) betray
Where oft entwined in am'rous folds we lay;
I kiss the place which once was press'd by you,
And all with tears the melting wreaths bedew.
