In an effort to acquaint students
with the views of the candidates
for the presidency of the College,
Larry Altaffer, David Broyles, and
Gordon Calvert have answered several
questions submitted by The
Cavalier Daily.
1. What do you see as the
principle problem the Honor
System is faced with today?
How would you deal with
the problem?
2. The Honor System is
concerned with "what the
student generation involved
feels to be dishonorable." Do
you think not honorable?
If so do you think the Honor
Committee should attempt to
change the honor system to fit
that opinion or should it attempt
to change the opinion
to fit the Honor System as it
now stands?
3. Is the Honor System
orientation of undergraduates
and graduates adequate
as presently handled? If not,
how can it be improved?
4. Specifically, what
would you attempt to achieve
if you were President of the
College and Chairman of the
Honor Committee?
