TRANSFER OF LAND FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND TRANSPORTATION

Approval of conveyance of certain real estate and a temporary easement over adjacent property near the intersection of Jefferson Park Avenue and Rouss Drive is needed for the reconstruction, operation, and maintenance of the intersection; and also a permanent easement for the location of traffic control signals near the intersection of Route 29 (Emmet Street) and Route 250 (Ivy Road) , is needed.

The following resolution was adopted:

  • RESOLVED that the deed between The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia and the Department of Highways and Transportation, dated May 22, 1985, which conveys certain real estate and a temporary easement over adjacent property near the intersection of Jefferson Park Avenue and Rouss Drive for the reconstruction, operation, and maintenance of the intersection; and also a permanent easement for the location of traffic control signals near the intersection of Route 29 (Emmet Street) and Route 250 (Ivy Road) in the City of Charlottesville with the approval of the Governor of Virginia be and it is hereby approved; and
  • RESOLVED FURTHER that the appropriate officers of the University be, and they hereby are authorized to execute and deliver said deed.
