This kind goeth not out, but by prayer, &c. —xvii. 21.

The spirit unclean will still remain
In every careless heart,

But prayer and fasting shall constrain
The tempter to depart;
The prayer and fast which God hath chose
Whole legions shall expel
Of beastly lusts, and devilish foes,
And chase them back to hell.
