Outstanding Career
Co-captain John Pegues will cap
a long outstanding career with his
tournament performance. He has
won the ACC the last two years and
has an undefeated 14-0-2 record
including a state championship this
season.
Shelley Zablow, last year's ACC
134-pound champ, will wrestle at
150, and has a perfect 2-0 record
since returning to action after
semester break. He should be top
seeded in his class, and a definite
threat.
Denis Bittenbender, a 158-pounder,
is the only first-year man
on the team. He is 2-1 in the
conference, including a pin against
North Carolina, and 8-6 on the
season.
Jay Douglas has come back from
early season injuries to take the 167
spot for the Cavaliers. The
fourth-year man scored a pin in his
only conference match against
Duke, and has a 2-3 dual meet
record.
Ted Moore will finish his second
year as co-captain in the
