Rowland Shut Out

At fourth, fifth and sixth
singles, Jeff Podesta, Bob Kain, and
Doug Waterman all trounced their
respective opponents. It took Kain
less than 25 minutes to defeat
Keydet Dwight Rowland 6-0, 6-0.

The doubles competition was a
reiteration of the sharp and poised
Cavalier play as all three matches
were won in less than 55 minutes.

Scheinman and Jones
defeated Dickinson and Lau 6-2,
and 6-1, at first doubles with some
amazing shots and strong
teamwork.

At number two, John Mertz and
Cooper bounced Ashman and
Bobby Brown 6-2, 6-2, and Kain
and Podesta overran Jeremy Tyrell
and Barry O'Donnel by a score of
6-0, 6-2.

Virginia's next match is against
Washington and Lee tomorrow
afternoon at Lexington, Va.
