An outdoor rock concert held on Lambeth Field highlighted Sunday afternoon's Homecoming activities. Theta Delta Chi, in association with Peppy Owens, a promoter for "Blood, Sweat and Tears," sponsored the concert, which began at two and did not end until seven hours later. Seven groups ground out the afternoon's bumps and grinds, including "Hunger," "Rooth," "Machine," and "The Race." The groups hailed from as far north as New York to as far south as Norfolk. It was estimated that at least two thousand persons attended the happening at some point in the afternoon or evening.
