] Certain Reasons touching ye most convenient times & Seasons of ye
year for ye Magazine Ship to Set forth for Engld towards Virga
- To come out in June & be here in Septr a temperate time then is ye
harvest of Corn & Tobo and one man may tend & keep as much as 2 can
house & Cure After Sept wind blowing at No West will make a long
passage - Weather after Sept so unconstant that goods cant be landed or shipt
without hazard or damage - Because few Taylors ye people won't get their cloathes time enough for
winter - you'l then haue ye best Tobo ye bad not then ready
- your ships may get home by Candlemas before ye East Indie Ships set
out wch will help ye Speedy venting ye Tobo - If the Ship dont come before March (our Seed time) we cant afford
time to attend Magazine - for want of boats it will be 14 daies loss to a man in Transp. goods in
wch time he may loose all his Tobo & Corn - if yor Ships return after April ye heat of ye hold will hurt ye Tobo
- furnish yor Magazine wth more than for ye prsent & let a continual
trade be on foot and then at ye arrival of your Shiping you'l haue Como
ready & they'l be soon dispatched - If you grant more such Commissions for Genɫ trade as you have done
to Capt Martin you'l overthrow yor magazine. conferr wth ye bearer mr
Dade who has had a yrs experience & can satisfie you in all points.
