[Lord, on Thy promise I rely]

These are the things which defile a man. —xv. 20.

Lord, on Thy promise I rely,
From all my filth to purify,
To pour Thy Spirit into my heart,
And make mine unbelief depart:
Thy blood which cleanses from all sin
Shall wash mine inmost nature clean,

Spiritualize my spotless mind,
Nor leave one evil thought behind.
