Oh, Heaven! how beauteous is the glow
Which Morning on thy front doth throw;
When sky and earth and air and sea
Breathe incense and divinity!
But far more beautiful the tint
Which Midnight on thy brow doth print;
When moon and stars, divinely fair,
Glitter in all their grandeur there,
And Earth beneath thy face lies spread,
Tranquil as thou art overhead!
