| CHAPTER X. The poetical works of John and Charles Wesley | ||
266.
[Who to His Saviour's messengers]
He that receiveth you receiveth Me, and he, &c.
—x. 40.
Who to His Saviour's messengers
An hospitable welcome gives,
Receives, not angels unawares,
But Christ and God Himself receives:
Come then, and bring the Crucified,
Come all who preach His pardoning word,
My house, my arms I open wide,
My heart to entertain your Lord.
