SCENE XII.

Egysthus, Agamemnon and Clytemnestra.
EGYSTHUS.
She has escap'd, and to the garden fled;
Had I pursued I should have been too late.

CLYTEMNESTRA.
Look where Egysthus stands; alas, poor swain!
Where is Arsinoe? She is not here.

AGAMEMNON.
Why think you of her? She will come in time;
Now let us in, for see the guests are placed.
What now?—

CLYTEMNESTRA.
This flowing robe entangles me,
Give me your arm, and let me take it up.
