As I beleiue, behauld before the strecht,
Your hail desier, quhilk is prepard I mene,
Bot yet the thing, quhilk ye vnto me hecht,
Remains in dout, gif it I sall obtene:
Oft tymes our myndis, ganestands, & contrairs clene,
That quhilk we speik, and plainly dois expres,
We fallow not our deids, as may be sene,
Conforme vnto the promeis we profes.
