Liquifactionist Leader Clarifies Images

Dear Sir:

Concerning the misprint in
Tuesdays C.D. Micheal Capobianco
is not the clean cut, upright young
man under whose picture his name
appears. But can be identified by a
pock-marked greasy face, matted
hair, and a pubic growth on the
upper lip and chin.

From the photo any moderately
intelligent person with a layman's
knowledge of phrenology can
immediately recognize his warped
state of mind. The peaceful
composure radiated by Mr.
Copobianco's visage is the result of
a revelation he experienced only
two years ago, that is, he had a
prefrontal lobotomy.

The other Liquifactionists
members, James Woll and myself,
have also been graced by a
prefrontal lobotomy, and
incidentally, are all good ole boys.

VPP's Endorsed

Dear Sir:

We the undersigned members of
the First-Year Council endorse Phil
Chabot and Andy Potler for the
vacant Student Council seats. Our
reasons for this endorsement follow:

Phil Chabot has been working
with the First-Year Council from
the beginning of this year. He called
the first meeting and helped in the
elections of our officers. He has
been present at our meetings to act
as a liaison to the Student Council
and has been available to our Council's
officers to answer questions
many times. We do not endorse him
only because he is part of our
Council, but our endorsement is
given for his qualifications which
we feel are important to this University.

Andy Potler has the respect of
many First-year students acting as a
floor counselor. Though we as
council members do not come into
close contact with Andy personally,
we support the platform on which
he is running.

The Virginia Progressive Party
has taken the initiative to express to
the students of the University their
platform while the opposing Jefferson
Party has neither printed nor
voiced its platform in any way to
our knowledge.

However, let us say that this
endorsement is not being made by
the First-Year Council as a body,
but only the signed members below
are making this endorsement. Some
representatives could not be
reached and some are of different
opinions.

But we the undersigned endorse
Phil Chabot, Andy Potler, and the
platform of the VPP, and would
like this endorsement made known
to the public of the University.
Also we were not influenced by
anything except the candidates and
the VPP platform i general. No
political campaigning was done during
our meetings.

Sincerely yours,

Charles S. Musson
President, First-Year Council

The preceding letter was signed
by 28 other students, all members
of the First-Year Council.

Call A Rally

Dear Sir:

We feel it is our duty to publicly
request that the Student Council
take upon itself the responsibility
of calling a rally to protest the
iniquitous conduct perpetrated on
the President of the United States,
Richard Nixon, in San Jose.

We realize, of course, that the indictment
of the Kent State students
is far more worthy of a protest rally
than any assault upon President
Nixon could possibly be. However,
we feel it is only right and proper
to request this.

LPBCC

Dear Sir:

In these troubled times, we need
people on the student Council who
will work seriously for the good of
the students. Shockingly, however,
this election has brought forth a
herd of candidates who are running
merely to get a few good shrieks.
The Jefferson Party has nominated
two candidates who, in order to get
laughs, have come out against
everything that has been achieved
here at the University during the
past few years.

Not to be outdone, the Virginia
Progressive Party's candidates have
laughingly come out in favor of
everything that has been accomplished
here at the University during
the past few years. Only one
party, the Liquifactionists, and
their two candidates, Michael
Capobianco and Jake Ference, have
come out and openly stated that
"we are not a joke." No other party
has dared to be so honest.

I suggest that we, as students,
reward the LPBCC for their courage
and integrity and vote Liquifactionist.
