The Virginia Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association selected Chip Case as the State's outstanding basketball player. The senior captain received twice as many votes as the runner up finisher. With Case on the All-Big Five team were Bill Gerry and Scott McCandlish, along with W&M's Bob Sherwood and Tech's Lloyd King.
