APPROVAL BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE FIRM OF JOHNSON,
CRAVEN, AND GIBSON TO DESIGN AN ADDITION TO MADISON HALL

  • The Rector announced that the Executive Committee on April 8 and 9, 1976, acting for the Board under Section 3.1 of the Manual, adopted the following resolution:
  • RESOLVED by The Executive Committee of the Board of Visitors of the University of Virginia that the firm of Johnson, Craven and Gibson be and it is hereby approved as architects to design an addition to Madison Hall.
  • In connection with this announcement, Mr. Lewis expressed hope that the new addition will not encroach significantly on the playing field area.
