227. Adams honourable interrement.
In a cleft Rocke, neare which our Saviour dy'd,Was Adams head found, who had prophesi'd
(As Fame averres) that his Redeemer shou'd
His bones there moisten with effused blood,
What time the Ocean of his love should make
The Nectar-drunken Earth to reele and shake.
O primely honour'd man! thus with the best
Of sweets embalm'd, and rockt to blissefull rest.
