| CHAPTER IX. The poetical works of John and Charles Wesley | ||
211.
[I have need of a physician]
They that be whole need not a physician, &c.
—ix. 12.
I have need of a physician;
Jesus, my physician be:
Help me in my lost condition,
Sin's severe extremity:
Sick to death of pride and passion,
Desperate, Lord, to Thee I cry:
With Thine uttermost salvation
Save, or I for ever die.
