The þrydde sacrament is clepyd Penaunce
þat is soþfast forthynkyng þat we haue for oure synnys

wyþ-owt wyl or þoȝt to turne agayn þerto./
And þis be-houys haue þre thyngys ȝif hit be stedfast./
On ys sorw of herte of þat þat we haue synnyd.
Anoþer ys opyn schryft of oure mowþ how we haue synnyd.
The þyrde is amendys makyng for þat we haue do.
These þre with good wil for to forsake oure synnys
clensys vs and weschys vs of alle maner synnys.
