Wake Thwarted
If there was a turning point,
it probably came in the third
quarter. Early in that period the
Deacons went on a drive towards
the Cavaliers goal, but fell short
when Paul Klingensmith scooped
up Freddie Summers' fumble on
the Wahoo five.
That recovery, however, led to
no score-its value was calculated
in negative terms only. Virginia,
five points behind, needed a positive
effort from the offense.
