[Blind to our own through selfish love]
Why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy, &c.
—vii. 3.
Blind to our own through selfish love,
Another's sin we plainly see,

Our grossest evils we disguise,
But aggravate our neighbour's fault;
And malice gives us piercing eyes.
